This exclusive music has just been rediscovered and comes from a 2005 recording session in New York, where the Venken-Fort-Hart band was formed. Anat Fort, Lieven Venken and Rene Hart met in the early 2000s, and the chemistry was immediately created.
Today, Anat lives in Tel Aviv, Rene in New York and Lieven in Europe. The compositions on this recording resurfaced during a session with Lieven and double bassist Giuseppe Millaci. Surprised by the cohesion of this 14-year-old recording, and by the vitality and freshness of the sounds it contains, Hypnote Records took the opportunity to present to the public a unique, touching, virtuoso music, masterfully executed by demanding musicians, devoted to the Art, respectful of tradition but also forward-looking.
The pieces on "Bubbles" are selected for their shared emotional tone. In two days of recording, the trio produced an impressive amount of diversified artistic material. Standards, original compositions, free improvisations subtly mixed with unifying pop tunes make up an album with a highly personal universe accessible to a wider audience.
