The young double bassist Giuseppe Millaci, while continuing his activity as a sideman, is now presenting his first project as a leader, the "Vogue Trio" and his new album "Songbook".
Songbook is a collection of original compositions inspired by Giuseppe's own diverse styles. His music is contrasted by soft and dissonant sonorities with a poetic and surreal atmosphere, exploiting the different facets of blues, binary rhythms and pop overtones. A music filled with sensitivity, space and elegance at the service of emotions.
The trio is rounded out by French pianist Amaury Faye, a talented soloist and outstanding improviser, not to mention the finesse of Lionel Beuvens on drums. These two brilliant musicians pushed Giuseppe into revealing unexpected facets of his playing.
